S is for Siren!

APRIL-2013-CALENDAR-001I’m so excited to join in the A to Z blog hop!!! Truly, I regard it as a terrific challenge and a wonderful kick-start to my new website. My topic for the entire 26 days will be romance, particularly erotic romance. My structure will be as follows: I am going to first list the pertinent words for the day and then discuss one of them in alphabetical order, of course.

S: saucy, savage, scintillate, scorching, sensuous, siren, sizzle, strip, sublime, sultry, and sex.

The above are my list of sexy and/or erotic and/or romantic S words. Feel free to chime in with your own!

For the eighteenth day of the A to Z blog hop challenge – I choose the word Siren. Because I’ve always wanted to be a siren. I’m using the first definition below when I say that. There are, of course, the three famous mythic Greek sirens, Pisinoe, Aglaope and Thelxiepi, who lured men to their deaths. But the most famous human siren of all time in my opinion is Cleopatra. There is also the famous Mata Hari. Who makes your siren list?

Siren: An offensive term for a woman whose sexual attractiveness is considered dangerous. In Greek mythology, a sea nymph, half-woman and half-bird, who was believed to sing beguilingly to passing sailors in order to lure them to their doom on the rocks she sat on.
