Here’s an excerpt from the first tale (just so happens to be mine *smirk*:

The Jack of Hearts:

***

Ricco stared out the open window and willed Kata to walk through the gate.

He wouldn’t lose his mate twice.

Seth had won Kata once, but he was long dead and buried, and all bets and rules were off.

The gas lamp hanging from an iron post just inside the award-winning front garden of Dacre House highlighted the raven-blue woven into the fibers on the black hood and long cloak Kata wore. The cape swirled around her ankles, and the ancient iron creaked in a drawn out protest when she shoved the gate open.

He tracked her steps and inhaled the musk of her desire mingled with the night-blooming jasmine. He hadn’t been certain she’d come after their confrontation earlier today.

Kata climbed the stairs, her feet dragging as if she was about to put her neck on the guillotine block.

Ricco’s mouth watered. His canines tingled and his gums ached with the need to claim.

The door opened and the attendant said, “Card.”

Her graceful fingers reached under the cloak, and she opened her hand to display half of a torn tarot card. The half that matched his, the Jack of Hearts.

“Third floor. Last door on the left. Stairs are straight ahead.” The doorman hooked a thumb over his shoulder.

“I don’t understand.”

The man growled, “Those were my orders for anyone with that card. You in or out?”

For long moments Kata remained quiet.

Scenting fear tangled with her mounting excitement, Ricco waited, his fists clenched. If necessary, he’d reveal his other half of the invitation―and his identity―and drag her up to the prepared attic room.

Her face reflected indecision for a brief moment, but then she squared her shoulders and let the card drop into the servant’s outstretched hand.

Ricco sighed his relief, and his knitted neck muscles relaxed.

Kata sidled past the doorman.

Ricco splayed his fingers wide and rotated both wrists. He withdrew into a shadowed corner and, being capable of both place and form shifting, transported to the lair he’d prepared earlier. Dacre House required signed contracts from all participants before renting out a room for BDSM activities and said contract had shed a glaring spotlight on Kata’s secret fantasies.

He’d worked off most of his fury in the ring after overhearing Kata’s conversation with her BFF, Shauna, earlier.

It had taken all his willpower to leave Kata alone after Seth died. He’d signed up for another tour in Afghanistan to avoid the daily temptation of being around her. If only he had followed his instincts and teleported back often to keep an eye on her. But, no, he curled his lips. He had to be fucking honorable and give her space.

Tough titties. No more space.

Not once had he imagined Kata fantasized about bondage and submission.

Prymal Hunger!

Prymal_Hunger-Jianne_Carlo--200x320OMG! The cover for Prymal Hunger is soooooo Kydd Kolton!

I’ve been dying to write his story forever! It’s humming along and I’m loving Kydd.

Is it too trite to say that Georgia Woods just made him with her cover? Okay, tell me you don’t see that cover and want to buy Kydd’s tale? What is it about cowboys, bad-ass trucks, and helicopters that’s so irresistible? Nothing more than a taste of Prymal Hunger for everyone this magnificent Monday morning. So, here goes:

Unedited Prymal Hunger excerpt:

***

Kydd’s lips twitched.

F**king figured.

The day he turned fourteen and came into his wolf, women fell all over themselves trying to get into his pants. Fame and fortune amplified his sexual magnetism. He had a hundred plus emails from actresses of all ages who wanted a one and done date with him.

He finally met his mate—Helle—and she wanted nothing to do with him.

“Message received loud and clear. You will not have an affair with me. You’re not going to sleep with me. You want to become the best screenwriter on the planet.” His excellent periphery vision caught her stun-gunned reaction.

Adrenalin flooded his veins. The prehistoric beast in him savored the chase to come. Her kittenish aroma had become dominant since he announced his wolf. An underlining suspiciousness sneaked into his mind.

Was she a mixed breed like him?

Her scent beguiled him. He couldn’t identify any wolf in her. The only female shifters he knew were pure-bred Wylfens the aristocrats of the shifter world. His friend Bandit was part panther, part wolf, and human. Could it be that females who were cat and human existed?

Kydd doffed his Stetson and dropped Helle’s backpack on the counter separating the kitchen area from a u-shaped meeting space. He collapsed into his favorite behemoth leather chair, stretched his legs, and picked up the remote lying on a side table. He powered on the TV and scanned channels until he found the weather station.

She walked to the counter, eyed the distance to the door, and shot him a swift glance.

His little cat contemplated escape. Kydd repressed a self-satisfied smirk. He had her on the defensive.

“Don’t even go there, Helle. Getting into and out of this studio, as you should’ve gleaned from the security when you entered this morning is no cakewalk. Before I catch you up on the publicity changes, let’s go through my appointments again.” He gestured to her backpack.

She loosened the leather straps on her backpack and said, sotto voce, “The man must have the memory of a sieve.  Did I not do this not an hour earlier? In great detail?”

For a half-moment, Kydd considered explaining why they needed to go through his schedule again. But, he wanted her off-balance not panicked and scared.

He studied her from half-hooded eyes.

Four years in the ring as a UFC fighter had honed his battle strategies. Get in the first volley and attack relentlessly until his opponent went down. eBut, Helle wasn’t his opponent, so he needed to adjust his tactics.

Over the last couple of months he’d spent time with his buddy and fellow Prymal pack member, Apache, who trained falcons and hawks. Kydd decided to approach having Helle mate-claim him the way Apache tamed the wild, primitive birds: accustom her to him using all of her senses, touch, taste, smell, hearing, and sight.

Here’s a little teaser excerpt from Demon:
In this scene Demon and Jacinta are on a taxi boat on The Orinoco River.

***

Demon sat on a bench at the farthest end and held her close.

Jacinta counted the number of times the boat rocked. Twenty-three. He had said a couple dozen men.

An acrid aroma hit her nostrils before a motor roared to life.

“Okay.” His mouth grazed her ear. “No one can see your face. You can look around if you want to, but only over my shoulder.”

A boon she hadn’t expected. The sun lit the rippling river silver, but right below the bow, the waters held a brown-red tinge. She couldn’t see the far bank but glimpsed a thin black line when they neared the middle of the Orinoco. Birds gathered above an area to the left and swooped down to the surface in great, graceful arcs. Conflicting aromas mingled around a sharp bend, the pungent stink of fresh-cut bait when a fishing boat trolled past, the dank odors of oil, smoke, and gasoline, and when a stiff breeze reversed direction, the musty fragrance of males sweating.

The constant drumming of the engine drowned the men’s voices.

“Is Hugo your business colleague?”

He drew back and then nudged her jaw. “He’s a man I’m forced to do business with. He is not to be trusted. You’re never to be alone with him. Understand?”

Sim. Yes, I understand. And Pedro, the one who will slice your balls? He is not to be trusted either?” Jacinta flinched at the flash of anger sparking from his eyes, now a deep brown.

“You’ll never see him. I’ll make sure of that.” He fiddled with a spike of her hair. “It’ll grow back. Unless you’d planned to cut it short when you say your vows?”

“I decided not to say them a while ago. After I first got to the school.”

“Tell me more about the school.” He shifted and helped her to straddle him. “Put your arms around my neck. I’m going to kiss you in a few minutes.”

For a second, she couldn’t breathe. She had never been kissed, but then she’d never done the other and that had definitely not been pleasant.

However, he had saved her from the direst ordeal, and she definitely liked being in his arms. And she could never repay him for his rescue.

The day girls at school had spoken of kissing. Waxed lyrical about how wonderful it felt and had gone all dreamy-eyed and giggled in a way that had embarrassed her to no end.

“We kiss to prove to Hugo that I am your woman?”

“Hugo and his sidekick, Brio, as well as the other men.”

A kiss couldn’t hurt.

“Is Brio on board?”

“No. He’s joining us in a couple of days. Now. The school. How many pupils?” He tweaked her nose when she didn’t reply right away.

“Forty-three. I was older than most of the girls. There were twenty-five boarders and the eighteen day girls. The day girls were all from Boa Vista. At first, we weren’t allowed to mix, but when the new principal came, that changed. And we were even allowed to go into the nearest towns. There were so many new and exciting things that I had never even heard of.”

“Like what?” His breath smelled fruity.

“Music. We sang hymns and chanted in the convent, but had only a rusted organ that no longer worked. I couldn’t get enough of music. All the rhythms. And all the instruments.”

“What else?”

“Ice cream. Popcorn. Apples. So many delicious tastes. After the first visit to town, I knew I would not take my vows. So I decided to do what the boarders did. Learn a trade.”

He captured her chin, moved his thumb along the seam of her mouth, and whispered, “Lick your lips.”

She was lost the second his mouth brushed hers. What a feeling he evoked. Ice and fire at the same time. Heaven. Bliss. All the stuff the day girls had told her was true. Pure enchantment, kissing. His lips proved soft and supple, firm and insistent, and made her head spin.

“Open for me,” he ordered.

Devil Released!

I’m thrilled to announce the release of Devil, Book#4 of the Hades Squad series!

Devil is my fourth book released for 2015—I’m on a roll!

Here’s the blurb for Devil and a teaser excerpt:

Devil-Jianne_Carlo-200x320

Blurb:
The last person Devil expects to see in a BDSM club is the best friend of his buddy’s new wife, Jessica Blaine. The all-American apple pie woman he wants so badly it’s her face he sees every orgasm for the last nine months.

Is she playing? Exploring?

Tough, she’s on his turf now, she’s put herself up for auction, and by God she’s his for the night.

Jess is scared spit less. She’s going to suck off the man who may have killed, Aung, the college student she mentors who vanished three weeks earlier. When the wrong man, a masked stranger, wins the auction, she has no choice but to proceed. Horrified when she not only responds to the masked stranger, but climaxes, Jess flees.

Devil lets her go fully intending to reel her in. His way.

***

Excerpt from Devil, Hades Squad Book#4:
In this scene Devil’s just discovered that Jess, the woman who’s bedeviled him for the last nine months, went to a BDSM club with one of her famous macho clients.

Jess pushed the food around, swallowed a couple of sips of OJ, and peeked at Devil’s scowling face. He ate with efficiency and his lips held the pucker she associated with lime and salt after a tequila shot.

“Are you going to sit there and glower at me for the rest of the meal?” She wiped her lips with the paper napkin. “You have no reason to be angry with me.”

“No?” His fork clanged onto the plate. “You go to a sex club with another man, and I’ve no reason to be angry?”

The front door slammed open.

“Morning boys and girls.” Demon halted on the first step, jammed his hands onto his hips, glanced from Jess to Devil, and groaned. “What the frick’s going on? How did you two go from nauseatingly lovey-dovey to World War III in a span of less than six hours?”

“Shut up and eat. We have to be at HQ in forty-five.” Devil jabbed a fork at the counter. “I made extra.”

“I’ve told you before. It’s better not to eat than to eat angry.” Demon ambled to the kitchen. “Can you two not kiss and make up? Fast?”

“Devil’s being entirely unreasonable. And I agree with you about the eating angry bit.” Jess speared a clump of scrambled eggs.

“Unreasonable? Unreasonable? Go ahead. Tell him why I’m being fricking unreasonable.” Devil chomped down half a slice of toast.

Fighting the urge to duck the salvo of darts shooting from Devil’s eyes, Jess snorted. “He’s pissed because Tom Gordon went with me to Bacchanal. For crying out loud that was three weeks ago. And it’s not as if you and I were dating then or anything.”

Demon’s jaw dropped. He shot an imaginary gun to his temple. “You went to a sex club with another man? And you think Devil’s being unreasonable? Holy crapola. Tell me that’s not the Tom Gordon she was being kissey faced with in the papers?”

“That’s it.” Jess lurched to her feet plate and cutlery in hand. “I so do not understand you two. I was going to a sex club for heaven’s sake. I needed some moral support not to mention someone to explain to me what those gadgets on the walls were for. Tom’s famous for his suspense books on sexually deviant serial killers. Who better to ask for advice?”

Devil shot out of his chair. His knife jumped three inches. “You had him explain things to you?”

This was so not the time to mention the shibari lesson. If he even suspected that Tom had given her an overview of the ancient Japanese art of erotic bondage —  he’d hit the roof. Still, Devil had no right to be mad at her.

“I repeat. You and I were not involved three weeks ago. Tom is a friend. And FYI, Mister Demon Seed, that photo-op in the papers showed two people having dinner and smiling at each other. And I am in the room. Do not refer to me as if I’m not here.”

With that she scraped all the food into the trash, dumped the utensils into the sink, and stomped out of the room.
